Image processing in medicine

Develop methods for an automated analysis of medical images.
In most medical imaging fields, diagnosis relies on the availability of methods to extract quantitative information from images at hand. Some of these have been made available by researchers at BioLab in the field of Ultrasound images, and fMRI. Together with Prof. Claudio Palma, an expert in Image Processing at the dept of Physics, Roma Tre University, BioLab activity is now working on the development of methods for the extraction of relevant parameters from Nailfold Videocapillaroscopy (NVC) images.
