Remote Monitoring of Human Movement and Telerehabilitation

Contact: rmuscilloATuniroma3.it
Objective
Develop and carry out methods for the remote monitoring of activities of daily living, by means of low cost wearable instrumentation, and its integration with telematic systems.
Description
Newly developed wearable sensors for the acquisition of accelerometry and EMG have been developed in the Lab, and different microprocessor controlled systems have been tested to allow transmission of biological data both via Bluetooth ® and via WI-FI.
Efficient and adaptive algorithms for the detection and classification of different activities of daily living from accelerometric signals have been developed.
