Personal Information
Mario Pannunzi received the M.Sc. in Physics at the 'Sapienza', University of Rome, in 2005, defending the thesis 'Visual representation shaping during a classification task'. He is currently involved in research on temporal series analysis, where the series are EEG/IEGG data.
He participated to the UE project ALA-VLSI. In this project he contributed to envelop and to execute the tests for a neuromorphic chip, C-LANN, projected in the Complex Systems Unit of the Department of Technologies and Health of the Italian National Institute of Health.
At the present time he participates to TIRESIA project. The project TIRESIA aims
at studying signals recorded in multiple modalities from epileptic patients in
pre-surgical exploration. The main objectives of the project is developing algorithms
suited for very short-term seizure prediction ('early detection'), in the long-term
perspective of studying the feasibility of an automated device for the seizure
control.
He received the PhD in Biomedical Electronics at Roma Tre University, and he is now with the Computational Neuroscience Group at University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Espana. Please visit the website at
this latter institution to get updated information.
