Personal Information

attention: info contained in pages for alumni of BioLab³ may be inaccurate/outdated.
Margherita Castronovo received a PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Bologna in 2014 and a MSc degree in Electronics from Roma Tre University in 2010, defending the thesis "Development of a biomechanical model for the Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) of the upper limb" carried out at the Biomechanical Institute of Valencia. Her main research interests are focused on modelling motor unit behaviour under fatiguing conditions, motor control strategies and evaluation of performance in sport. She's also assisted BioLab³ research and teaching activities in the Department of Applied Electronics at Roma Tre University.

Participation to projects and programs

EU-FP7 Program FP7-ICT-2007-2 Project #224051: "TREMOR — An ambulatory BCI-driven tremor suppression system based on functional electrical stimulation" (2008-2011)
